Candidates Forum this Wednesday!

Nominations were slowly trickling in to VUWSA for the exec positions of Education Officer (Welfare) and Women’s Rights Officer (WRO), with one week left before voting opens.

Nominations closed on Friday, after Salient went to press.

At press, the two nominees for the position of Women’s Rights Officer were Stephenie Williams and current Acting Women’s Rights Officer, Georgina Dickson.

The position of Education Officer had only one nomination, that of Paul Brown, the man who brought you Mo Month of May.

A candidates’ forum will be held on Wednesday at the Mount Street Bar from 5pm until 7 for the candidates to deliver their visions, address voters, and answer questions.

For more information on the by-election, visit www.vuwsa.org.nz or VUWSA’s Kelburn office in the Student Union Building.

Voting takes place from May 28 to June 1. Salient will bring you candidate profiles next week.
