Vic gets sorority

Victoria’s new sorority will have its first meeting tonight, just weeks after the new fraternity – Beta Omega Chi – affiliated to VUWSA. Around 40 people have signed up as members of the yet-to-be-named sorority, which is intended to have a social, academic and support focus.

VUWSA Clubs Officer Melissa Barnard says she excited to be a part of the sorority, which she says is a great way for students to meet new people and get involved within the University community. The sorority’s first meeting will take place at The Establishment on Courtenay Place tonight from 7:30pm.

There will be a screening of Desperate Housewives, nibbles and discount drinks. All are welcome.
