S.U.B. A.S.A.P.

Victoria’s refurbished Student Union Building is still incomplete, despite classes starting this week.

After many months of limited access and even more limited facilities, students had been hoping to be able to utilise their building. When Salient went to print, the second-floor was still totally out of use.

The facilities that have been opened, however, have exceeded students’ expectations.
The Hunter Lounge is set to become the most popular spot on campus, with students commenting that it was “way too cool” and “epic”. With its wide bar, ample outdoor space and Tuatara on tap, it is a surprisingly elegant and attractive venue.

The new health centre is also a popular addition. More attractive and better designed than its predecessor, the only complaint that Salient has heard is that the reception counter dwarves everyone.
