The age of consent in Iran was never 9. The age of marriage used to be 9 because that was the age of one of Mohammad’s wives (Aisha) when he married her. I guess the question then is whether the founder of the islamic faith was a pedophile, but anway, the current age of marriage is 13 for girls and a few years older for boys. Sex outside of marriage is illegal.

the point i was trying to make in the article was that so much discourse about sex is filtered through patriarchal, commercial etc. interests. if you want a lowered age of consent, basically you’re going to need a far different environment to what we’ve got. as for using iran as a justification for lowering to 9, iran is one of the most rigidly patriarchal societies around and girls that age don’t have any choice at all.

Can someone explain to me why the link for Delia goes through to gay porn?
(once the title changed I clicked stop. But it sure sounds like porn, the title is “BoysFirstTime.com – Where boys get loose for the first time!” )
The same link occurs on other posts of “Delia” and the one by “CJ Hunt” on Adventures in baby killing. Methinks there is someone posing as them. Can we get an IP check on that?

the sexualisation of young girls is natural. This ‘sexualisation’ is really only a return to what is natural, biologically. the age of consent needs to be lowered, we need to recognize it politically. So far only Hamburg (14) and Iran (9) seem to have taken up this challenge. New Zealand needs to take the lead, once again! Go kiwis.
