Salient would like to apologise for the following factual errors made in last week’s article “Calling all muppets”: According to the VUWSA Constitution, only women may run for the position of Women’s Rights Officer;
Nominees for the position of Queer Officer must be a member of the Queer representative group UniQ, and;
Nominees for the position of International Student’s Officer must be enrolled as an international student.
News Editor Nicola Kean will be hung, drawn and quartered at a soon to be announced public ceremony to appease said errors.
Three positions, International Student’s Officer, Queer Officer and Environmental Officer are up for grabs in next week’s by-election. Around seven nominations had been received at the time of writing, and nominations close today at five o’clock.
Voting will take place online from 21 March.
