Five candidates have thus far thrown their hat in the ring to contest the 2010 co-Presidency of the New Zealand Union of Students’ Associations (NZUSA).

The election of the co-Presidents will occur at NZUSA’s conference being held at Lincoln University at the end of this month.

Declared candidates for the position of co-President at the time Salient went to print include former Auckland University Students’ Association (AUSA) President David Do, current Massey University Wellington Students’ Association (MAWSA) President Alex Sorenson, current Weltec Students’ Association executive members Kent Lambert and Filimino Lemisio, and current University of Waikato Students’ Association President Pene Delaney.

Nominations for the positions close on 15 August.
