Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education Office) Professor Dugald Scott has denied speculation that the Faculty of Education is to receive a $1 million funding cut, explaining that “in order to stay within budget, the [Faculty] needs to make savings of about $1 million…

The Faculty is currently going through a consultation process to look at the best way of structuring the Faculty.”

The 400-bed hostel currently in development near Boyd Wilson Field is to be named Te Puni Village. Director of Student Services Ruth Moorhouse has assured Salient that the project remains on time and under budget.
