Local figures, including candidates for CNMI delegate to the U.S. Congress, stressed the importance of bolstering U.S. military presence and diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions. While some fear the potential risks, tourism officials remain unconcerned, asserting the CNMI remains a safe destination under U.S. military protection.
